Acclaimed Australian filmmaker Paul Cox directs this intimate drama about the unlikely bond between Irina, a Russian prostitute and Barry (Bruce Myles), a disillusioned bible scholar.

Barry is unhappily married to Gloria, a televangelist who only has eyes for the Lord and the big bucks she rakes in peddling self-help merchandise. Craving warmth and intimacy, Barry finds comfort in the arms of Irina. With a cameo from Barry Humphries.
